A tree-support collar (1) comprises: (a) a supple strip of a molded or extruded material with two opposite faces (3); (b) a fastening for attaching it to a tree supporting stake; and (c) one or more projecting ribs (5) on one face which engage with matching recesses on the other when it is wound round the tree to limit relative axial movement of the layers. An Independent claim is also included for a process for manufacturing the tree-support collar, comprising molding the supple strip of the collar.
