PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to print desired data with a desired printer without taking bothersome trouble when the user using a portable terminal tries to print data provided on a network. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 200 makes an acquisition request for location information about a printer 100, the printer that accepts the acquisition request transmits the location information of the self-device as a reply to the acquisition request, and the terminal 200 receives and stores the location information. The terminal 200 subsequently selects print data to be a printing object, meanwhile, selects the desired printer from a preliminarily stored list of printers, designates the location information of the print data and the printer and makes a printing request. A managing device 400 that accepts the printing request designates the location information of the print data and makes a printing instruction to the printer 100 designated by the printing request. The printer 100 that receives the printing instruction acquires the print data designated by the printing instruction and prints the print data. |
