PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a miniaturized directional coupler as a whole which solves the problem of reducing the insertion loss at a coupling part of a primary and secondary lines of the coupler, improves flexibility regarding designing of a bend, suppresses the electromagnetic wave leakage from a gap between the primary and secondary lines, when they are separated, an antenna apparatus capable of scanning a beam at a high speed, and a compact and high-detection performance radar apparatus provided therewith. SOLUTION: Dielectric strips 3, 4 are disposed between approximately parallel conductor plates to form a directional coupler with two NRD guides disposed close to each other. The main transmission mode of electromagnetic waves propagating at an operating frequency along the NRD guides is an LSE mode. |
