PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit and an electronic camera that can quickly and simply reproduce and enter sound. SOLUTION: The image processing unit and the electronic camera are provided with an index display means 26 that displays each of index pictures resulting from reducing sizes of multiple pictures recorded in a recording medium and collecting the reduced pictures, a picture designation means 34 that designates a specific picture among displayed index pictures, a sound reproduction means 29 that reproduces sound recorded in relation to each picture in the recording medium, and a control means 19 that controls the sound reproduction means so as to reproduce the sound in relation to the designated picture when the picture designation means designates the specific picture while the index display means displays the index pictures. |
