PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet the liking and need of a driver by composing a continuously variable transmission T to be usable in a stepped speed changing state while conducting shifting for speed change in the continuously variable transmission T mounted on a two wheeler by a compact control motor 54. SOLUTION: Movable sheaves 13 and 18 of drive and driven pulleys 11 and 16 comprising speed changing pulleys are driven by cam mechanisms 30 and 40 interlocked by an interlock mechanism 49, and the control motor 54 to actuate the interlock mechanism 49 and a controller 56 to control the control motor 54 are provided. For speed changing modes of the controller 56 by the continuously variable transmission T based on operation signals from a changing operation switch 59 operated by the driver of the two wheeler, a semi-automatic mode in which the change gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission T is changed and selected to be one of the plural change gear ratios preliminarily set and a full-automatic mode in which the change gear ratio is continuously variable are changeable from each other. |
