PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely design a hairstyle that a customer desires and to completely reproduce the hairstyle. SOLUTION: The hair design system comprises an image processor 1, an input/output device 2, a graphic system 3, a display device 4, a head-shape expansion drawing information storage device 5, and a hair design information storage device 6. A hairdresser or the customer designs a desired hairstyle by oneself over a look at the display device 4. Information on the designed hairstyle is stored in the head-shape expansion drawing information storage device 5 in the form of numerals and symbols by sectioned positions. When the hairdresser processes hair, a head-shape expansion drawing is displayed on the display device 4 and the hairdresser cuts or perms the hair.
