PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device of a diesel engine capable of eliminating a variation in fine injection between cylinders without increasing the amount of fuel injection in fine injection. SOLUTION: This fuel injection device of a diesel engine comprises an accumulator for storing high pressure fuel, an injector for injecting the high pressure fuel into the combustion chamber of the engine, a controller for determining the injection conditions of a fine injection and a main injection based on the operating conditions of the engine and controlling the injector according to the injection conditions, and a fuel pressure sensor for detecting the fuel pressure in the accumulator. The controller comprises a fine injection halt determination means for determining the halt of the fine injection at least based on the fuel pressure and, when determining the halt of the fine injection, controls the injector so as to halt the fine injection.
