PURPOSE: An image data transferring circuit of a printer is provided to reduce the mounting area on a printed circuit board by reducing the area needed for the structure of an integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION: Two multiplexers(80,90) are prepared among memories(41,51,61,71) and data transferring relay units(44,54,64,74). The multiplexer transfers the image data outputted from two memories to shift registers(42,52,62,72) of each color. The circuit from one multiplexer to the data transferring relay units is formed as an integrated circuit(81,82). The data output from each memory is controlled to output image data of each color to the multiplexers from two memories connected with one multiplexer.
