PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which use of a memory area for management is improved by allowing alteration of an authentication code number and a digit number of a count for each authentication code number. SOLUTION: The image forming device having the function of permitting an image forming operation when a preset authentication code is input has an authentication code input means 1a for inputting an authentication code, and an authentication code storage means 2a for storing the authentication code. The image forming device also has an authentication code checking means 3 for checking whether or not the authentication code which is input from the authentication code input means 1a exists among authentication codes which are stored in the authentication code storage means. The image forming device further has a user permitting means 4 for permitting the user of the authentication code identified by the authentication code checking means to carry out the image forming operation, and an authentication code number setting means 5 for setting users' authentication code numbers. |
