PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a high potential by electrification and high sensitivity, free of change in various characteristics even after repeated use and capable of exhibiting stable performance. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor with a photosensitive layer containing an electric charge generating material and an electric charge transferring material as constitutive components on an electrically conductive substrate, at least one azo compound having a specified structure is contained as the electric charge generating material and at least one styryl compound having a specified structure is contained as the electric charge transferring material.
