PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator excellent in the handling convenience of first and second refrigerating chambers while securing the capacity of a freezing chamber. SOLUTION: The refrigerating chamber is partitioned in the direction of up-and-down to obtain the first refrigerating chamber in the upper part and the second refrigerating chamber in the lower part of the same, then, an evaporator as well as a fan for refrigeration are provided in the upper rear part of the first refrigerating chamber, and a main control substrate is received in a space outside of an insulating material. Further, the substrate is covered by a cover whereby the size of deepness of the freezing chamber and the deepness of the second refrigerating chamber can be secured so as to be comparatively large while the handling convenience of the first refrigerating chamber is not spoiled.
