Method of quantifying total hemoglobin and glycohemoglobin

A method of continuously quantifying total hemoglobin and glycohemoglobin whereby total hemoglobin and glycohemoglobin in a sample can be quantified by a single channel; and quantification kits to be used therefor. Namely, a method of quantifying hemoglobins which comprises treating a sample to stabilize the absorbance of hemoglobin, measuring the absorbance to thereby quantify hemoglobin in the sample and then quantifying glycohemoglobin in the sample ; a kit for quantifying hemoglobins which comprises a combination of a component containing a substance capable of changing the structure of hemoglobin with another component containing a hydrogen peroxide synthase acting on glycohemoglobin or its derivative as a substrate ; and a kit for quantifying hemoglobins which comprises a combination of a component containing a substance capable of changing the structure of hemoglobin with another component containing an anti-glycohemoglobin antibody .
