The present invention concerns an electrically controlled transmission having stepped gear shifts, in which the power of a single engine is distributed among two drive paths and transmitted to a gearbox. During the operation, the power is alternatively transmitted to adjacent gear shifts by different drive paths and each drive path contains an overrunning clutch to effect power delivery.The present device has advantage of automatically successive shifting as well as simple construction, high efficiency and low cost. |
