PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adverse influence by heat in a fixing device constituted by making a sheet type pressurizing member abut on a fixing roller. SOLUTION: This fixing device has the fixing roller 15 having a heating source 16 inside and the sheet type pressurizing member 21 supported by a base 19 in a cantilever state and abutting on the roller 15. In the device, recording paper to which a toner image is transferred by an electrophotographic process is pressed/heated when it passes through space between the roller 15 and the member 21, whereby the toner image is fixed on the recording paper. An aluminum plate 23 is provided near the attaching part 22 of the member 21 on the base 19, and the heat near the attaching part 22 is diffused by the plate 23. |
