PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly heat-resistant, thin adhesive tape for batteries which shows a good release property and therefore requires no separator and allows little elution of mold lubricants when used after heat treatment. SOLUTION: The adhesive tape for batteries has a base made of synthetic paper, a nonwoven fabric, a woven fabric or a knitted fabric of aromatic polyamide fibers, an adhesive layer made of a silicone adhesive applied to one side of the base and a release layer mainly comprising a silicone fluoride resin applied at an amount of >=0.3 g/m2 on the other side of the base.
