PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of acquiring a retrieved result even by not continuously maintaining a communication state while using a simple communication I/F. SOLUTION: The information server connection type navigation system converts a present position detected by a GPS receiver 11 into a code by a present position-code converter 12, and further converts the code into a tone signal by a code-tone signal converter 13. The tone signal is transmitted to a CTI system server 4 connected to a public channel network 3 via a portable telephone 14, and a telephone channel is once connected. The server 4 transmits information with a position to a request (for example, where is an Italian restaurant near the present position?) from the navigation system 1 to the system 1 via an e-mail. |
