PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate possibility of causing imperfect characteristic due to deterioration by heat and manufacture a polymer PTC element at a low cost. SOLUTION: A plate-shaped element body 12 is composed of polymer and conductive material which is mixed dispersively in the polymer constitutes a body part of a polymer PTC element 10. Electrode parts 14A of conducting members 14 for making a current flow are bonded respectively to both the upper and the lower surfaces of the element body 12. A large number of hole parts 16 are formed in the electrode parts 14A. Lead terminal parts 14B, which are collectively formed in unified bodies with the electrode parts 14A, are stretched from the electrode parts 14A.
