PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device in which effective high speed rotation and high speed seek are secured, the reduction of storage capacity being usable for a user is kept at the minimum, also reliability is improved. SOLUTION: N-th multiplex storing of user data is performed for plural magnetic recording media 4 inside of a device after all physical storage capacity of a magnetic disk device 2 which is restricted to 1/N is released for the user. Arrangement of N pieces of Nth multiple storing data is decided considering previously a rotation waiting time or an average seek time. When a user accesses data, a magnetic disk device having effectively high performance is realized by selecting one seek time of which a rotation waiting time is the shortest or a seek time is the shortest out of data of N pieces.
