PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-intake device capable of discharging suspended matters staying inside of a screen at the back flow of the water. SOLUTION: The screen 3 is mounted on an intake 2 for checking the flowing suspended matter, and an opening part 5 provided with an openable and closeable gate 4 is formed near the screen 3.
