PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system which access a network URL through a simplified network address that is preliminarily allocated in relation to the URL and display a homepage having the URL as the network address. SOLUTION: In these method and system, a person who wants to access the homepage can easily access the URL and the homepage only by inputting the simplified network address and does not have to input the character strings of the URL. In this method for accessing/displaying the URL and the homepage, the simplified network address such as a number is allocated to the URL, the URL and number conversion are stored in a storage system that can access the network, the allocated number is inputted to a computer capable of network access, the inputted number is transferred to the storage system, the number is converted into the URL, the homepage corresponding to the URL is retrieved, and the homepage is displayed on the computer.
