PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of charging and discharging an accumulator, through simple constitution in a power conversion device for accumulator, using a secondary battery. SOLUTION: The alternating-current input voltage 30 from an alternating- current power supply 8 is rectified and increased by a converter 22, to a value higher than the crest value thereof and converted into an intermediate direct- current input voltage 31. The intermediate direct-current input voltage 31 is reduced by a step-down chopper, and an accumulating means 16 is charged with an input direct-current voltage 32 higher than the crest value of alternating- current output voltage. A direct-current output voltage 36, which is higher than the crest value of the alternating-current output voltage 30, is outputted from the accumulating means 16. |
