<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrant capable of easily executing the work for temporarily demounting or exchanging a hose. SOLUTION: When a hose connecting socket 3 is connected to a hose connecting plug 4 mounted on a front end of a horizontal cylindrical part 22 of an approximately L-shaped hydrant body 2, and an unlocking sleeve 32 is rotated at a predetermined angle, a movable valve plate 52 in a vertical cylindrical part 21 of the hydrant body 2 is rotated on a fixed valve plate 51 through a horizontal transmitting member 7 and a vertical transmitting member 6, and a channel in the hydrant body 2 is opened and closed. When the sleeve 32 at a closed position is rotated in the direction opposite to the rotating direction to an opening position, an outer cylinder 72 is forwardly moved while rotated in the direction same as the sleeve, the sleeve 32 is forwardly pressed at a front edge of the outer cylinder 72, and the socket 3 is unlocked to the plug 4. The outer cylinder 72 is pulled and returned to the closing position from the unlocking position by a tension spring 8 mounted over an inner cylinder 71 and the outer cylinder 72.</p> |
