PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically and quickly measure and indicate the warp of a liquid crystal board w, thereby preventing this board w from being damaged due to its warp. SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus comprises a means 2 for supporting a liquid crystal board w, a distance measuring sensor 3 which is moved approximately along the board w supported with the supporting means 2, thereby measuring the distance from the liquid crystal board w every adequate interval position on its moving path and an indicator for indicating warp information based on distance data measured by the sensor 3.
