PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque detecting device that is mounted on an existing bicycle and can detect a torque. SOLUTION: The right end of a bearing 30 is elastically deformed by driving torque acting on a crankshaft 13, and a housing 38 deflects following this. A sensor tip 40 mounted on the housing 38 abuts on a right adaptor 36, and detects the driving torque having acted on the crankshaft 13. The sensor tip 40 is mounted on a holding part 38c of the housing 38 smaller in diameter than the bearing 30, so that the torque detecting device is held to a same diameter as the bearing 30 to be stored in a support hole 21A of a body frame used for the existing bicycle. |
