PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the asymmetry of a tracking error signal or the off-track at the time of track control accompanied with the displacement of the optical axis of an optical disk device and the center axis of an optical distribution means. SOLUTION: The optical disk device capable of housing the optical disk is provided with a light source for emitting the light, an objective lens for converging the light emitted from the light source to the optical disk, a 1st optical distribution means for outputting a transmission light and 1st and 2nd diffracted light beams while moving integrally with the objective lens, a transmission light detecting means for detecting the transmission light to output a TE1 signal showing the displacement of the detected transmission light, a 1st diffracted light detecting means for detecting the 1st and 2nd diffracted light beams to output a TE2 signal showing the difference between the detected amounts of 1st diffracted light and 2nd diffracted light, and a controller for producing the tracking error signal of the optical disk on the basis of the TE1 signal and the TE2 signal. |
