PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC-driven plasma display device capable of providing high brightness with a low gas pressure and capable of reducing discharge voltage. SOLUTION: In this AC-driven plasma display device, a discharge gas sealed in a discharge space performing a discharge comprises; (1) gaseous xenon singly, (2) gaseous krypton singly, (3) a mixed gas of gaseous xenon and gaseous krypton only, (4) a mixed gas of a first gas of at least one kind selected from among a group comprising gaseous xenon (Xe) and gaseous krypton (Kr), and a second gas of at least one kind selected from among a group comprising gaseous neon (Ne), gaseous helium (He), and gaseous argon (Ar), or (5) a mixed gas of gaseous xenon. |
