PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for verifying a drainage line design, which dispenses with actual assembly of the entire drainage line, and can accurately predict the behavior of air pressure within the entire drainage line, and to provide an apparatus to implement the method, a computer program, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: According to the method, a draining experiment is conducted on the drainage line at every predetermined section, and an empirical formula is derived from a result of the experiment so that predicted parameters are changeable. Then, the derived empirical formula is stored in a unit line empirical formula DB 108. Further, the drainage line targeted for verification is compared with stored contents of a unit line specification DB 107 section by section, and the empirical formula corresponding to the identical specification is read out from the unit line empirical formula DB 108, whereby the behavior of air pressure in the entire drainage line targeted for verification is predictively operated. In this manner, suitability of the design of the drainage line is verified.
