An elongate tube (14) for evacuating gas from a mold has a radial opening (16) aligned with internal channel(s) and has an elastic connection (18) to a flexible base (12). The tube connects a suction source to the mold. The base lies flat against a product (2) being molded. An impermeable film envelopes the tube, the product and a porous layer between them. The tube, elastic connection and base may be a flexible integrally formed structure. A rigid tube (20) fits centrally within the elongate tube and includes the internal channel.
