PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire preventive, resistant wall construction capable of stopping fire flame and smoke to the opposite side beyond a fire preventive covering member by closing gaps even though metal runners are deformed by the high temperature during fire and gaps are created between the fire preventive, resistive covering members and ceilings or floors. SOLUTION: In a fire preventive, resistive wall construction formed by erecting fire preventive, resistive members 2 at ceiling and floor, the fire preventive, resistive covering members are fixed to the ceiling member 3 and floor member 4 via runners 1 and 1 to which the fire preventive, resistive members are respectively installed to the ceiling member 3 and floor member 4, and thermally expansive fire resistant member 6 forming a fire resistant insulation layer after the expansion by fire is respectively inserted between the runners 1 and 1 and ceiling member 3 and the floor member 4 thereby forming the fire preventive, resistant wall construction.
