PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle body for an internal combustion engine electronically controllable and adequate to a motorcycle. SOLUTION: This throttle body comprises an engaging lever 1 for driving a throttle shaft, a first energizing means 2 for energizing the engaging lever 1 in the opening direction of the throttle shaft, an accelerator lever 3 abutting on the engaging lever from a rotating side of the throttle shaft in the closing direction, a second energizing means 4 for energizing the accelerator lever in the closing direction of the throttle shaft, and a motor 10. When opening of the accelerator lever is not larger than a set opening responsive to engine rotation, throttle valve opening is made to rapidly follow the accelerator lever opening. When the accelerator lever opening exceeds the set opening, the motor is driven in a direction against the first energizing means 2 to hold the set opening.
