PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration of dispersion. SOLUTION: A dispersion compensated dielectric multilayer refrecting mirror which is conventionally manufactured by using two kinds of dielectrics, one having a higher refractive index and the other having a lower refractive index, is composed of three kinds of dielectrics, i.e., by adding a dielectric having a refractive index with its value intermediate between the refractive indexes of the conventional two kinds of the dielectrics, the one having the higher refractive index and the other having the lower refractive index.
