PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method, where even a user unaccustomed to a keyboard can transmit and receive mails. SOLUTION: The user of a portable telephone 3-1 transmits, by a voice, a destination and a message to a Voice de Mail center 2 via a public telephone network 5, so as to be stored once. When the center 2 receives the message by the voice from the portable telephone 3-1, it transmits the mail of a received communication message to a portable telephone 3-2, as its destination by attaching a 'Phone tag', to which access information to the center 2 is linked. The portable telephone 3-2 clicks the 'Phone tag' to access the center 2, it receives the stored message by the voice, and it outputs the message from a loudspeaker.
