PURPOSE: A loop for an umbrella is provided to help a user to simply stand the umbrella even though there are no umbrella stand and to conveniently hang the umbrella at a desired hook member. CONSTITUTION: The umbrella is provided with an elastic loop shaped accessory at a handle portion thereof. The size of the elastic loop shaped accessory is determined so that it is able to be easily caught by any hook member, and also the elastic loop shaped accessory is designed so as to be separably fastened to the handle portion of the umbrella. The elastic loop shaped accessory serves to help a user to simply stand the umbrella at a desired place indoors in a case that there are no umbrella stand, and to conveniently hang the umbrella at a desired hook prepared within a vehicle.
