The window opener comprises a guide rail (2) connecting two end plates (3,4) and a cursor (7) which slides on the rail. A cable pulley (5,6) is installed on each end plate and a winding drum (9) is connected to the cursor by cables (11a,11b) passing over the return pulleys. One return pulley is mounted on a pin which is installed in the corresponding end plate by means of a rivet. The pin is angularly positioned before riveting so as to ensure sufficient tension on the cables.
