PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head actuator capable of obtaining larger head displacement with a lower voltage, and achieving head positioning control in a broad band by increasing a mechanical resonant frequency. SOLUTION: This head actuator is provided with a head slider for supporting a head, and a head supporting member for supporting the head slider. The head supporting member is provided with a first area for installing the head slider, a second area for installing a driving element, and a third area for connecting the first and second areas to each other. The driving element has a geometric center surface. The head supporting member has a second neutral surface in the second area, and a third neutral surface in the third area. The third neutral surface is displaced to the same side of the geometric center surface with respect to the second neutral surface.
