PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide charging equipment, that obviates carrying a separate charger around and is capable of charging sufficient electric energy in a short time, to properly make up a deficiency of the remaining electric energy of a secondary battery. SOLUTION: A portable device 100 comprises a capacitor charging circuit 20, that generates and supplies charging current Ic corresponding to alternating- current voltage Vin supplied from a commercial power supply 10, a capacitor- type storage battery 30 that includes a plurality of capacitors and storages electric charges (electrical energy) corresponding to the charging current Ic in a short time, a secondary battery charging circuit 40 that transfers the electrical energy stored in the capacitor-type storage battery 30 and charges the secondary battery 50, a power supply portion PS comprising the secondary battery 50 relatively low in charging speed, and an electrical and electronic circuit 60 that implements the required functions of the portable device 100 based on power supplied from the power supply portion PS.
