PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for giving instruction on articulation and a recording medium recording information processing program, permitting self-study with ease without attendance of a specialist. SOLUTION: An articulation instruction device 10 comprises a CPU 11, a ROM 12, a RAM 13, a VRAM 14, a graphic controller 15, a display device 16 for displaying an articulatory data, an input device 17 consisting of pointing devices such as a keyboard and a mouse, a microphone 18, a CODEC part 19, a loudspeaker 20, an external memory device 21 such as a hard disk drive(HDD), and a CD-ROM driver 22 which is a device for reading the CD-ROM 23 recording character display program, and when displaying the articulatory data. The CPU 11 displays a posture and gesture showing a consonant by using a mouth and hands in combination, and controls the displaying by moving the mouth and hands so that they form a mouth for a vowel after a prescribed time has passed.
