PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device capable of transmitting/ receiving voice data in a voice data encoding/decoding system which is common between transmission and reception sides among a plurality of systems. SOLUTION: The device at reception side notifies the device at transmission side of a type of voice encoding system corresponding to its own device. The device at the transmission side transmits the voice data with the voice encoding system of the type identical to the type of voice encoding system corresponding to the device at reception side and to the type of voice encoding system corresponding to its own device.
