PURPOSE: A method for setting a shortcut key of a mobile communication terminal is provided to conveniently select a menu by setting the menu as the shortcut key. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays an upper menu list(101). The control unit confirms whether a key is inputted(103). If the key is inputted, the control unit judges whether the inputted key is a key for selecting a menu(105). If the inputted key is the key for selecting the menu, the control unit displays a lower menu of the selected menu(107). If the inputted key is not the key for selecting the menu, the control unit confirms whether the inputted key is a shortcut setting key(109). If the inputted key is the shortcut setting key, the control unit confirms whether a random numerical key is inputted(111). If the random numerical key is inputted, the control unit set the inputted numerical key as the shortcut key(113).
