PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve positioning precision of a magnetic disk device by restraining a spindle from vibrating, thereby attaining high track density. SOLUTION: A dynamic vibration absorber consisting of a weight 21 and an elastic body 22 is provided between two bearings disposed at an arbitrary interval in the axial direction of the spindle for damping. As a result, the amplitudes of residual vibration and ball bearing vibration can be reduced during seek operation, thus it is possible to improve positioning precision. |
