PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for connecting a plurality of optical fibers by using an optical waveguide by which the optical loss due to connection of optical fibers can be reduced even without aligning optical axes. SOLUTION: The connector is equipped with optical fiber supporting part 10, 10' having a groove 12, 12' for supporting optical fibers 42, 44, an optical waveguide base plate 20 for supporting an optical waveguide 22, and a base plate 30 for supporting the optical fiber supporting parts 10, 10' and the optical waveguide base plate 20. The optical fiber supporting parts 10, 10', the optical waveguide base plate 20 and the base plate 30 are composed of the same member, thereby preventing these components from deviating from each other. Therefore, the optical loss due to the connection of optical fibers 42, 44 can be reduced without aligning the optical axes.
