PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head light tester comprising a lamp correcting means applicable to every lamp, a means for measuring light distribution pattern projected on a screen, a means for measuring a radiating direction by a plurality of light receiving elements arranged on the screen, and a luminosity measuring means. SOLUTION: A first means of this head light tester for achieving the purpose has in a light receiving part the correcting means having an oscillator of a laser beam for correcting a lens center shaft and a lamp center. A second means has in the light receiving part a vertically and laterally adjusting means of the screen and a radiating direction measuring means having an expanded optical filter for measuring the radiating direction of the lamp by operating the adjusting means while directly visually observing the screen. A third means has the screen on which the plurality of light receiving elements for measuring the radiating direction of the lamp and measuring the luminosity are arranged based on the output by projection of the light distribution pattern of the lamp.
