PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepladder carelessly closing no leg even if front and rear leg rods unfold and capable of closing the legs without so much resistance. SOLUTION: In this stepladder having a separation preventive body 9 having a rotary fitting inserting part 11 and a going in and out fitting inserting part 10 for inserting a support rod 8 installed in a prescribed place of the rear leg rod and a connecting rod 3 connected to a footboard, a nonslipping part 13 for increasing frictional resistance force is arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the connecting rod 3 for contacting with the separation preventive body 9 when unfolding the rear leg rod.
