PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively and easily measure cracks which are generated in a wood face, such as flooring or wall. SOLUTION: In this method, light parallel to the surface of the measured wood face is irradiated in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the cracks. The light scattered on the surface is photographed, nearly linear line segments in equal direction are extracted as the cracks by image processing, and the crack length total or the area total inside a prescribed area is calculated. |
