PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring out performance of a printer engine to the maximum by reducing a processing of a CPU on a printer controller and enabling use of an inexpensive CPU with low processing ability. SOLUTION: A host device 1 performs a conversion processing of image data into the one in a form comprehensive by the printer engine 4 and generates an engine control command string to be communicated by the printer engine 4 and the printer controller 5. The generated image data and the engine control command string are transmitted to a printer 2 via a data transfer path 3. The engine control command string transmitted to the printer 2 is stored in an engine control instruction buffer 8, an image is formed by the image data stored in a frame memory 7 as managing executing time of the printer engine 4 by an engine control instruction scheduler 9 by the engine control command string and printed on a sheet of recording paper. |
