PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp and a luminaire replaceable with a small incandescent lamp for a general illumination widely adopted in the market. SOLUTION: The compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp 10 is equipped with an arc tube 18 comprising a plurality of U-shaped crooked bulbs 31 arranged in parallel, having a tube inner diameter of 5-9 mm, a bulb height of 40-55 mm, and a discharge route length of 120-200 mm, a total luminous flux when the lamp is lit at lamp power of 7-12 W of 450 lm or more, and a lamp efficiency of 45 lm/W or more; a cover 14 having a base 12 to which the arc tube 18 is fixed and having a height containing the base 12 of 75-105 mm; and a lighting circuit 16 housed within the cover 14. Since the outer dimension is made almost the same as the small incandescent lamp, the light output is almost the same as the small incandescent lamp, and lighting efficiency can be high, the compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp replaceable with the luminaire to which the small incandescent lamp can be fixed can be provided. |
