PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new electrolyte film, in which permeation of methanol (cross-over) is restrained as much as possible and which is also durable under an environment of higher temperature (not lower than about 130 deg.C), and a fuel cell using the electrolyte film, especially methanol direct type solid polymer fuel cell, as well as to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This electrolyte film, in which the first and the second polymers having a protonic conductivity are filled in fine pores of porous base material, which substantially does not swell with respect to methanol and water, and the electrolyte film where one end of the first polymer is made to be bonded to an inner surface of fine pores of the base material is used. |
