PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, high temperature resistant and corrosion resistant air heater exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance and durability in the highly corrosive high temperature gas atmosphere of an incinerator. SOLUTION: A metallic inner tube 2 and a ceramic outer tube 4 of coaxial double tube structure are mounted on a receiving metal 3 suspended by a suspension metal 1a. The suspension metal 1a is made of an Invar material having an extremely small thermal elongation. Since the inner and outer tubes are not restricted, thermal displacement can be minimized. Alternatively, a structure of stacking ceramic outer tubes strong against a compressive force can be employed. Since a ceramic tube is lightweight as compared with a conventional brick, required heat recovery can be performed by stacking them and an air heater which can recover heat sufficiently while preventing thermal deformation can be obtained. |
