PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, simply constituted color image forming device having high reliability, and capable of facilitating maintenance processing and paper jamming processing. SOLUTION: In the color image forming device provided with one belt-like image carrier (1), a latent image forming means (30), a multicolor developing unit (100), and one belt-like intermediate transfer body (201), the belt-like intermediate transfer body (201) is supported so that it has at least two flat surfaces, and a transfer means (204) is arranged in the vicinity of one end part of the upper flat surface of the transfer body (201), and the belt-like image carrier (1) is supported so that it has at least two flat surfaces, and the multicolor developing unit (100) is arranged on the vertical flat surface of the carrier (1), and intermediate transfer means (202a and 202b) are arranged on the apex of the vertical plane, and a destaticizing machine (6) and an electrifying machine (2) are arranged on the lower plane facing the vertical plane.
