THREE-DIMENSIONAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A three-dimensional measurement system and method are provided to three-dimensionally measure a moving object or an object having a uniform color all over the surface rapidly and accurately. CONSTITUTION: A three-dimensional measurement system includes a projector(31), a photographing means(32), a controller(33), and a computation means(34). The projector projects a predetermined pattern on an object(30) to be measured in order to provide correspondence in three-dimensional measurement. The photographing means takes a photograph of the image projected on the object using a plurality of cameras. The controller controls the operations of the projector and photographing means. The computation means performs calculation that analyzes the image taken by the photographing means to extract corresponding points and obtains three-dimensional point information from the extracted corresponding points.
